Because I care very much about that office, having spent my formative lawyer years there, I hope the prosecutors there now read or hear about this post and buy into its truth: our core work as advocates in criminal justice is about persuasive, credible, captivating story-telling. That office is hungry for this in its ranks AND in its leadership positions. Because this is sadly lacking there the entire courthouse community feels as much a palpable ache for that office as it does a great pride in our PD’s office. Something at HCDAO has to give. Or someone.
