Email delivery of Defending People through Feedburner is slow — posts are sent out in a daily digest, so there might be almost a daylong lag between when I post and when subscribers receive it via email. So I’m trying something new: the Subscribe2 plugin for WordPress. There’s an email subscription box in the sidebar; try it out and tell me what you think.

Thanks.

What’s this? I don’t post for two days and off your blogroll already! Geez. I’ll buy you a drink or something.

How are you liking WordPress, by the way?

I’m having fun with it. I’ll probably get to rebuild everything when 2.5 comes out.

My blogroll is all screwed up. When your blog is reachable again I’ll add it.

Yeah, stop tinkering with blogrolling. Not the best service.

Your RSS feed switched when you changed themes. What I really want to know is whether or not this comments form came with or without the theme?

Karl, I switched blog software (from blogger to wordpress) as well as themes. This comments form is part of the theme.

Gideon, how do you manage your blogroll?

Karl, you gotta get off the 2.0.x branch of WordPress and move to the 2.3/2.5 branch.

Mark: I use WordPress’ native blogroll function. If you go to the add link page, there is a bookmarklet that you can drag to your bookmark toolbar in Firefox. It is titled “link this”. Go to a website you want to link and click that button on your toolbar. It pops up the “add link” window in your blog’s admin. Select a category and you’re set!

To control the order of the links in each separate blogroll, I use the mylinkorder plugin. It lets me display (until recently – it’s been acting up lately) the categories of blogs in the order I want and within each category it lets me display the blogs in the order that I want.

I’m using 2.5 I’ll be overhauling soon to a widget ready platform.

I really, really like 2.5 it seems to be much more, umm, user friendly.

Lol. I’m going to wait on 2.5 until it is officially released. Seems like there have been quite a few improvements, though.
