Why we don’t offer free consultations
Most criminal-defense lawyers in Houston advertise “free consultations.” We don’t.
A free consultation is a sales pitch. We don’t pitch. People come to us because they already know we’re the best. Our consultations are paid, and they have real value. We listen to the facts, ask the right questions, tell you what we see, what we don’t see, what we would investigate, and what your real options are. By the end of the consultation, you know what you have, what we would do with it, and what we would charge to do it. That has value to you whether or not you hire us.
We love interesting legal problems, so if you call us we’ll talk a bit on the phone. But if you need to sit down for a real consultation, buy a half-hour of Mark’s time for $500.
Other lawyers advertise free consultations because they are trying to get hired. We don’t need to try.
