I suppose he would say that his name pops up in a search for “best criminal attorneys Houston” and so forth. Because, of course, Google and Yahoo don’t rate lawyers.
For this blatantly deceptive bit of advertising garbage, Andy has earned today’s Asshat of the Day Award (ADA).
Seems kind of harsh. I mean, what if he is one of the Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Houston?
Seriously, he’s an asshat just for the Google nonsense? Is there more to the story? Is he, perhaps, this guy’s lawyer?
Never heard of him.
Windy, my ADA readers can jump in here, but I’m pretty sure he’s not in the top 250.
And I can’t identify this guy because of privilege issues.
There are certain defense attorneys that prosecutors are courteous to out of respect. And there are certain defense attorneys that prosecutors are courteous to because they are harmless and there is no need to get combative with.
I will let you guess which category Mr. Nolen falls under.
He’s put the Harris County seal on his page??
Bad move. Indicative of bad judgment and lends credence – inferentially at least – to the asshatt moniker.
Who is this Andy Nolen guy? I’ve got shoe leather that has more trial experience than he has — and I am not a lawyer.

Is that photo next to your name, you or your dad, because the guy in the photo looks like he’s in his late 60’s.
No, that’s me. The practice has turned me prematurely gray (some of us whom Google hasn’t rated as Houston’s Best Criminal Lawyers fight for our clients’ freedom) and laughing at deceptive lawyer advertising has given me a few wrinkles.

On 12/18, I hired James Andy Nolen to represent my Husband. I had no idea he no longer has a business. I was referred to him, so I trusted her words. After we met at Casa Ole, I gave him $1,000. He was communicating with me and calling me & on the same day we met up. After that day, he no longer communicated with me. No text. No calls. Not even the paralegal that would refer him people. I am asking every one to please share this. I want the whole world to know he is not a family attorney. He is a liar & a crook. That way no one can believe him & hire him & go thru what I am going thru. That was all the money I had left. I lost options on what to do next.
