RIP Pat Barber (via Tony Vitz). Barber died 29 July 2011. Here‘s a story about him in his local paper, and here‘s a 2004 story from the Idaho Observer.

(I mentioned Pat before here.)

Good read. Sad that he’s gone. He seems like an attorney who took personal risks and sacrifices to stand up for his fellow humanbeings’ constitutional rights. Shame that Texas felt the need to obstruct him doing so.

I see that a similar trend is emerging with governments trying to combat the “police filmers”: https://gizmodo.com/5553765/are-cameras-the-new-guns

RIP, Mr. Barber. I have copied the article by Pat Barber to put on my list of handouts to clients about their rights and how to assert them in a polite but firm way. Thanks for sharing, Tony and Mark! Maybe that article should go on my website when I get it written. Anna
